♥ And the holiday commences!
I'm anticipating a return to very late nights due to excessive surfing of Internet nonsense.
Nonetheless, I'm happy! Can't say the weeks/perhaps months of borrowing Thumpy's laptop has been fast food. (i.e Convenient and easy, haha geddit? I am so lame! :D)
I suppose an update about my holidays so far is due. I don't have many pictures though so I'll keep it short and sweet. Just lines of words to remind myself I'm having fun before I inexorably think about how I've screwed up my A's.
23rd Nov: Last day of exams was Chem MCQ. I dyed my hair after! Don't ask me why, I've been toying with the idea for some time and I really felt like a drastic change after this intense, trying period.
Mummy was thankfully supportive and Thumpy got to benefit since second person got a discount of 50%! We both have brown hair now; he looks like a grizzly bear with a messed up furry head and I... hopefully look much better. I'm getting used to it already and it comes with the boon of new clothes and accessories! I've a new excuse now: "But a lot of my clothes don't match my new hair colour!!!" Haha.
24th Nov: First day of "freedom" was spent with Bestie! :) We hit town (ION, Wisma and Takashimaya) for much needed retail theraphy. We were so busy shopping, walking, talking, SHOPPING that we didn't think to take pictures! I did snap a photo of our cute doughtnuts from DunkinDoughnuts though! The smiley face is banana-flavoured!
It was a real fruitful day and I returned home with bags and bags of shopping! And a happy heart (
25th Nov:I met up with Hidayah for our long overdue chat over LJS breakfast! It was her suggestion and I have to say, LJS breakfast is surprisingly yummy! I have made mental plans to have it again soon, am already tempted as I type! ^^ We combed through most of JP (while chatting, of course) and I bought myself a new romper, among other little things here and there which amounted to a little fortune when I later did the math! =X
26th Nov: Another day of... (what else) shopping with YL jie this time! Thankfully the mall we chose (Yew Tee Point) was rather small and my spending was naturally restricted. I've no issues with small malls though, they're cosy and usually not as busy as the up-town areas... It was great finally seeing YL after 2-3 months. Exams are really dreadful obstacles shredding apart our social calendars...
27th Nov: Today, I caught New Moon with CWL, Jo and Thumpy! It was the first time I brought my brother along on an outing with my friends but I have to say, I think it turned out pretty much fine! Lame (and sometimes even rather sick) jokes galore! Haha boys will be boys; I'm refering to all 3 of them here!
I think Carlisle Cullen (the dad, the benevolent doctor) is really charming! Even more appealing than the much-ga-gaed-over Edward Cullen. I've always found vampirism cool, I shall look to expand my Vampire Book horizons beyond Twilight and Sookie Stackhouse this holiday! Next up is the Vampire Dairies series. Have already downloaded the e-books! ;)
28th Nov to 2nd Dec: I'm going to be overseas from this Sunday onwards! Tomorrow, my cousins will be coming over to stay the night and on Sunday morning, we'll be going aboard SuperStar Virgo for a 3D2N cruise to Langkawi/Phuket! Its a family vacation involving the extended Teh clan with the exception of a few who can't make it. Won't be full attendance but I'm sure it'll be fun nonetheless! :) Shall be back on Wednesday, till then!

Okay. To make some sense of my post, good luck to everybody taking the ongoing O-levels!
And similarly, all the best to everybody going to take the A-levels!
In a matter of days! So, I have good reason to be frightened out of my darn wits.

Let's get all the rattling over and done with before my GP paper! :)
(NB: This short ramble is going to be posted as something to look back and laugh at when the A-levels are over and should definitely not be taken as a measure of my sanity. Haha!)

♥ Birthday Party!
Welcome to the party!
This is what you'll see when you first step in; a basket of party favors for the guest! I hand-packed all of them by myself so they're all filled up with loveee! :) There's a rabbit mooncake and rabbit sweets inside, yum!

Introducing our maid, Lin, who made most of the dishes! :) If you notice, there are coloured papers pasted on the wall behind... They are from the drawing competition we held! Haha every child was supposed to draw a bunny and in the end, the best few walked away with cool bunny prizes! Winners were decided by voting with stickers (each guest gets 2)... Haha cute idea, right? :D
There were many other guests but I don't think I can spend another minute waiting for the photos to get uploaded so I'll just leave it as it is. More photos up on Facebook anyway and I think these here capture the main gist of it! :)Oh wait, one more!

Haha alright guess that sums up the yesterday! When all the guests had left, we (me, Thumphy, Kor and the twins) spent the wee hours of the morning at the playground, playing cards and watching a movie! And hence our sleeping time of 4+am, lol! Haha but laptop's been fixed so I decided to come by for a short post!

♥ Sam's birthday!
So anyway, bowling! It was sooo long since I last bowled and my score was very pathetic! Grrr. Next time, I'll bring my own ball instead of using the lousy house balls! (Hmm but well, its kinda obvious this is just an excuse to save my face, lol!)
The birthday cake! It was Oreomisu from Emicakes and I really liked the bottom part where all the Oreo bits were, yummy! :)

♥ FOOD :)
My pictures never do the food enough justice but anyway, in no chronological or whatsoever order, I've decided to post pictures of what I've been eating, hehe.
Toastbox
Oh this was just last Friday! :)
Milo Thick Toast and Traditional Kaya Toast! And I think that's a bit of the Laksa bowl shown at the top of the picture, hahaha...
It was my first time trying Toastbox and though the space was slightly crampy, the food was reasonably good and I like the old-fashioned coffee shop atmosphere, definitely more classy than any hawker centre or food court...Fathers' Day 2009; Raffles Town Club Dining Room
Oven-baked Lamb Ribs
Snail Soup with Vermouth; wheeee I think this was the highlight of the dinner! It was surprisingly very yummy and I think I even prefer it to my all-time-fave cream of chicken! I was apprehensive about trying it but I'm so glad I did! If anything, this saved the the day/night and made the waiting worth it! Haha I should give escargots a try someday! :)
Beef Tenderloin laced with Wild Mushroom Sauce; this is one of the rare times I actually complained the serving was much too small! Oh wells that's just the way fine dining is... Probably some tatic about always leaving you wanting more? :D Hehe.
Dessert; Chocolate Cake with Caramelized Coffee Sauce
Also served with the meal was sparkling wine! I was a little thrilled (hmm I do realise I sound very amatuer) to hear this since I've never had a whole wine flute to myself ever (with the exception of a wedding here and there) but the adults said it was of lower quality than they're used to. I found it just fine but then again, I don't have anything to compare it to, do I? Lol.
